Medication Management
Medication Management services are available to King Health clients. Our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners will determine a client’s need for medication during their initial psychiatric evaluation. These evaluations are typically done shortly after beginning services with King Health. If it is determined that medication is necessary, monthly follow-up appointments will take place with one of our psychiatric nurse practitioners.
Our nurse practitioners are typically available for telehealth appointments Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm. In addition, they also reserve a couple of days each month for strictly in-person visits. Currently we offer in-person visits in both the Baltimore City and Laurel (PG County) offices. If it is determined that you need to be seen in-person, the front desk will schedule you accordingly.
Our nurse practitioners will monitor all medications that a client takes to confirm they are following their prescribed medication regimen, while also ensuring the client is avoiding potentially dangerous drug interactions and other complications. This is especially important for those taking large numbers of medications.
